Benin is a country in West Africa with a population of approximately 10 million and economic growth of 5% annually. Benin has benefited from a United States government grant (Millennium Challenge Corporation) to improve its economy. Underdeveloped sectors include but are not limited to:


  • Telecommunications, water,  and electricity
  • Large agricultural  land 
  • Natural resources such as limestone, marble and timber
  • Imports from the United State of cars, nuclear reactors, boilers, meat and textiles
  • Exports to United States are edible fruits and nuts (cashew)
